This was a project for a New Villa developed on the northwest of Italy, Monferrato Coutryside Area,Piedmont, that follow principle of bioarchitecture.
The development of the new private residence , is based on the juxtaposition of two main bodies , themaster house and an annex of service, united by a single large roof , oriented and designed to maximizesolar gain during the winter and to protect and reduce the penetration of the same during the summer.A third building , detached from its predecessors is thegarage.
The idea and the need was to unify to the local context , according to precise input of the client, whowanted the new building to dialogue with the rural buildings in the area of intervention.
The development of the large roof and with double height porches, uses this input to create a functionalappliance to the attributes of ecoeffectivenessthat we wanted to achieve, in a building made ofprefabricated timber structure, characterized by the use of natural and sustainable materials.
The technology chosen was wood frame, with composite wood panels walls, natural insulation with woodfiber, natural hemp fiber, etc.
The outer surface finishes are natural limebasedplaster, wooden windows with double glazing system, waxed concrete floors finishing for the ground floor and outside areas, oak wood oil finished to the upperfloors.
The new building achieves the goal of energy class A, and is equipped with heating and cooling radiantfloor, air humidity control system and mechanical ventilation system.
The structure rests on a reinforced concrete base, rwith 32 piles, but without basement floor.
Both architectural and Interior design developed by our office, as per Landscape Design.
